The best place to find examples of use for WATiR is to look through the Unit tests it installs.
They are very extensive and include pretty much every piece of functionality that exists in WATiR.
I would give precise details on where you can find these but that changes based on #1 where you installed Ruby, and #2 how you installed Watir.
Do a search on your harddrive for the filename "ie_test.rb" ... all of the .rb files in that directory are WATiR's unit test scripts.
