First I did ask the developer to move the info down into the body, and that will happen by end of day today.

In the mean time....

I downloaded watir-1.4.1.exe windows executable last night, and still was not able to access the information. Can you tell me the command I can enter into irb to confirm the version of Watir? While I am in the there, can you tell me the command to get the Ruby version number?

Also, this is how I am trying to verify text in the source:

ie.html.include? "info here"

It seems to work pretty fast even with a large amount of data.

Let me know what you think,

Thanks,

Kalen

This is indeed a bug that has been fixed since 1.4.1.

Yes, I thing that is causing your problem. It is a Watir bug, I thinkit is already reported/fixed, but I am not shure. You can search bugdatabase or this mailing list to be shure.
Workaround for now is to ask your developer to put <!-- info is here--> in body.
