Why not just redirect from wtr.rubyforge.org to openqa.org/watir/? Then you will have to maintain only one site. Or change wtr.rubyforge.org to "we have moved..."? Also, can something similar be made with http://rubyforge.org/projects/wtr/? Is there a reason for maintaining two sites?

We don't have full control over the openqa.org/watir website and much of the information there is incorrect. For example, the license, mailing list information, svn instructions are all incorrect. Also we don't have control over the css for the site and therefore the users guide looks like crap. The version on wtr.rubyforge.org has repeatedly gotten high marks. If we make enough of a fuss, Patrick will usually fix these things, but Charley has already spent quite a bit of time just to get it where it is now, and both of us are tired of dealing with it. After considerable effort it is not any more accurate than what we have on wtr.rubyforge.org, and that is out of date out of shear neglect. So it is much easier for us to just fix that. It also has features like a search of the mailing list, that hasn't yet been ported to openqa and i don't know if that would be hard or not. I do know that it signifcantly reduced the number of repeat questions on this mailing list when we put it up and am therefore loathe to remove it.

But i am happy to put notes saying that we have moved at both locations.

Personally, i would rather we use the home page of the wiki at OpenQA as our Home Page, because that is much easier for us to update.

Bret
