Nathan, This problem ONLY happens with the modal dialog code. Other tests that don't use modal dialog code do not have this problem. Do any of your tests use modal dialog? If not, then you wouldn't see my problem.
All test code running is on the local machine. The test runs fine on the console. We use remote desktop often to start tests on various machines at my company, and they never hang or break when we close the remote desktop connection (or minimize it). Have you attempted to run the test by going to the physical machine you are trying to run it on? It may help to know whether or not it runs without using remote desktop.
