I have both 1.4.1 and 1.5.1.1192 installed ... I installed the gem by running gem -l install watir in the directory where the watir 1.5.1.1192 is located.
I have two versions of the scripts using gem 'watir', '= 1.4.1' and gem 'watir', '= 1.5.1.1192' There may be a better way to determine the necessary version of a gem... but I know you can run two versions of your tests with different versions of WATIR.
