I ran gem install watir
instead and then at least the installation started. However after installation I ran C:\ruby\lib\ruby\gems\1.8\gems\watir-1.4.1\unittests> all_tests.rb That started, but it looks like several things went wrong. The final message is Problem with Autoit - is it installed? Eh, no. I can't see any information about it on http://wtr.rubyforge.org/watir_user_guide.html So, unfortunately once again, what is wrong? I am using Windows XP Pro if that matters. I am using Firefox normally for my web browsing, but it seemed better to install Watir than its Firefox cousin, since I guess Watir uses CreateObject when attaching to IE. (For Firefox I have to install an extension which makes me worry about security.) - L Lennart Borgman (gmail) wrote: > Watir seems nice.
