First of all I want to look back to March 2015 when many of us met in Dubai to play the Beach World-Championships. The German Mixed Team made it to the very windy finals against the Canadian team. That day is full of amazing memories for me – and one of them is the huge European crowd that cheered or us and helped us on our way to the Gold medal. It was a wonderful feeling and I am still very grateful for the support on that day – and very happy – to know that we have such a great and colorful and friendly community. We now have a chance to give Ultimate a bit more publicity – and of course for our players to feel even more proud and happy. We are nominated for the IWGA as one of 15 possible groups for the Athlete of the year award.
