I'm 90% sure I'm going down to snowshoe this weekend with a friend of mine. There is a DH race on sunday, but all the other trails are open the rest of the weekend. I haven't decided if im racing (it's only $12 more to race), but this would be a great way to improve your skills. For people that have never ridden a DH bike, riding at Snowshoe will make you a better rider. Anyway, the more people come the cheaper it is for a hotel room. I think the cheapest I've ever stayed was like $120 split 4 ways. For $85 you can rent a dh bike with all the body armor, not a bad deal considering everytime I go there I break $50-100 worth of stuff anyway. So it's a little pricey but it's worth it, Snowshoe is still my favorite place to ride. Most likely stay up till 3am drinking friday night, and leave sat morning.
