I'm willing to offer a special class for Traffic Skills, which I'm considering offering as 2 parts.
More info on the classes can be found at http://bikemorgantown.com/courses.php The full class is comprised of 9 sections. I'm thinking about teaching 5 sections to "less advanced", and then allowing "more advanced" cyclists to jump in on the final 4. I need at least 5 people to commit to taking at least the "advanced" course with a unified time. Course is free if you complete it. Full course would be about 6hrs in class + 2hours on bikes. Advanced course would be about 2 hours in class + 2hours on bikes. I can break it up into a couple evenings (beginner one evening, advanced on another is one idea). Or can do it all on a weekend. Like 9am-5pm. It's not a difficult class that requires studying or anything. If interested, email [email protected] with which course you'd take (full or just the advanced topics), and when you can take the course. Topics with a # are the ones covered in the "advanced" class. They're all covered in the full class. * Bicycle form, fit and function * Basic maintenance * Clothing and equipment * #Basic handling skills * #Bicycling in traffic * #Avoiding crashes * Efficiency, power and endurance * Riding with groups and on the trail * #Road test and written test
