Cross Season! Reminder that the WVU collegiate / public race is coming up (Oct 30/31). You don't need a cross bike to participate, mountain bikes are also allowed (no bar ends). We will need help for course setup all weekend, so please plan on lending a hand. We are also in need of two people who are CPR certified. Please let James or Emily know if you or someone you know is and is willing to help out for the weekend.
Other cross related info.. Next week there is an ABRA cross race in Washington, PA. It can be a good warmup for the home weekend. Also, there is weekly cross practice at Marilla park Wednesday evenings at 5:30. Racing this weekend Downhill mountain bike racing this weekend at Timberline. Contact Zerbe if you are interested in going and or need a place to stay. Everything else.. Good luck this weekend to Duncan Oliver, representing the team at nationals. Stay posted to the twitter account (wvucyclingteam) for updates. Anyone who stayed at the cabin at Wisp, pay Zerbe before he hunts you down. If you raced this season, or have outstanding debt, get a hold of DeCann on paying it off. You will not be allowed to participate in sponsor orders or future races until these are settled. Also, if you raced this season, write a short paragraph about your experience (ie. where you went, what you learned, how you did) and send it to Emily. These will be consolidated into a single entry for our team blog. IMBA Mountain bike ride this Sunday. Watch the forum this weekend for more information / carpool info. Team rides. We are bringing these back!! Starting next week.. Mountain Monday - MTB ride at bakers. Meet at the stadium ticket office at 4pm. Or, trailhead around 4:15. Fast Friday - Road ride meeting at 3:30 from the lair. All skill levels encouraged. Phat weekend, Nov 6-7 in Cannan. Weekend of solid mtb rides, road rides, and possibly a few road sodas. Pre home race weekend shindig at the bikehouse on 10/29 in the works. There is a canned food drive coming up. Plan on donating something. Possible day trip to Ray's indoor bike park in Cleveland.
