Would anyone be interested in this? Another full race weekend at a distance *shorter* than any of our regular season races.
I know there is an ABRA race that weekend as well, but this looks like it could be a really fun weekend. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear ACCC'ers, Penn State and the ECCC invite you to throw down for another awesome weekend of collegiate cycling in beautiful Central Pennsylvania. You all thought your collegiate season was done this week, but it doesn't have to be! Don't register for those boring USAC races when you can add another weekend of racing in your school's colors and cheering your teammates on to glory. You may say "PSU is waaay too far from here," but I am sure that some of you have traveled farther for smaller and shorter in-conference races. Go ahead and google-map-it (http://maps.google.com/maps? f=d&source=s_d&saddr=&daddr=State+College,+Centre, +Pennsylvania&hl=en&geocode=&mra=ls&sll=40.793395,-77.860001&sspn=0.135678,0.082741&g=State +College,+Centre,+Pennsylvania&ie=UTF8&z=12). Saturday April 23 and Sunday April 24 we are hosting the ECCC Championships. Check out our race flyer: http://collegiatecycling.org/eccc/wiki/uploads/Calendar/20110423-psu-... Saturday will feature a TTT and an EPIC road race with approximately 21 miles and 1900 feet of climbing a lap! Races range from 1 lap for D up to 4 laps for A racers. And all for a mere $15 entry fee! Try to find that much race for that little money anywhere in the country - we dare you! There will be a banquet with delicious BBQ and awards on Saturday night, as well. Come Sunday, be prepared for a fast crit through Downtown State College's historic Frat Row. According to conference coordinator Sully "there is nothing like racing this Frat Row Crit on a mildly nice day. The Bros of PSU frats are all about heckling, cheering and general rowdiness. Until you are an elite Cyclocross racer in Belgium, there is no race atmosphere that can compare." We would love to host you and show you a great time in the biggest conference in the country. You will not be disappointed! Thanks, Penn State Cycling
