Collegiate riders and coaches,

The below e-mail already went out to our newsletter subscribers, and we will
be sending it to all licensed collegiate riders on Monday, but just to make
sure everyone knows, I thought I’d send this to everyone via the listservs,
as well. I know this is incredibly last minute for those teams that require
several months to acquire transportation from their schools, and I apologize
for this sudden change, but we were given no choice. Thanks everyone, and
good luck to all that are racing this weekend.

-Jeffrey

*Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 15, 2011) --* USA Cycling announced today
that a new venue will be selected for its 2011 Collegiate Mountain Bike
National Championships which are slated for October 28-30.

The original host for the event, the Timberline Resort in Davis, W. Va., was
unfortunately forced to step down due to some unanticipated, off-season
changes to the would-be venue.

USA Cycling is confident it will soon secure a new, top-notch venue capable
of hosting cross country, short track cross country, downhill, and either
four-cross or dual slalom events.

Race organizers interested in promoting the event over the weekend of
October 28-30 can click here to see the Request for
Proposal<https://www.usacycling.org/forms/natchamps/Collegiate%20Mountain%20Bike_Bid.pdf>or
contact USA Cycling National Events Director, Kelli Lusk, at
[email protected] or (719) 434-4285.

Stay tuned for the new venue announcement coming soon…
