For sale I have two Mavic (pronounced Mah-veek) Aksium front wheels for sale, descriptions of them are as follows:
Wheel I: 2012 model, claimed weight of 800 grams, has about 300 miles on it, looks new, bearings are smooth, and runs true. Comes with a Kenda Kountache Red/Black tire (weight: 202 +- 10 grams) with maybe 150 miles on it. It also comes with an awesome green rim strip! Unfortunately, you can't see it when a tire is mounted, so you'll have to take my word for it. I'm asking $85 for the wheel, tube, tire, quick release, and awesome green rim strip. Wheel II: 2011 model, claimed weight of 830 grams, has 1,000 or so miles on it, and is in very nice shape, the bearings are smooth, the rim is true, and there is much life left in the braking surface. Comes with a Vittoria Zaffiro Pro SE tire (weight: 240 grams). I am asking $55 for the wheel, tube, quick release, and tire. But wait there's more! I also have a rear 2012 Mavic Aksium with Shimano/SRAM freehub body for sale. The only catch is it doesn't seem to have any interest in remaining true enough to ride. Maybe if you are some sort of wheel truing wizard, you could get it to work, but I can't! $30-- no tire, no rim tape. Buy both front wheels (and both tires) for the low price of $120!
