Dear WVU Cycling Team Leaders,

I hope this message finds you well.
I am inquiring on your team’s potential interest in co-sponsoring a dual
conference (ACCC/ECCC) event for the spring 2014 collegiate road season.
On April 6th and 7th, Shippensburg University (located in South Central
Pennsylvania, 30 minutes from the Mason-Dixon Line), hosted a very successful
ECCC race weekend. Though it was our first effort, we had numerous riders tell
us we had one of the best collegiate race weekends that they had ever been to.
We had around 250 total riders and around 750 individual registrations
including a few from the ACCC.
We are considering an event for next year, but as we are, geographically, sort
of on-the-boarder, it just makes sense to promote the race as an ACCC/ECCC dual
conference event. But, to do so, we need an ACCC co-sponsoring school. We will
do most of the lead-up work and would really only need from your riders day-of
help with course marshaling and other tasks, as well as pre-event promotion
within the ACCC. Our event was quite profitable this year and we would even be
happy to work out some sort of a profit sharing deal depending on how the work
gets split.
If your team thinks there may be interest please reply and we can talk more.

Thank you,
Michael Poland
Shippensburg University Cycling Vice President
