Mondays and Fridays are rest days during the race season, capiche? Tomorrow's session will be what some might call "basic" or "rudimentary", but these are necessary skills. * What is CX? At a base level, we'll build on it. * Equipment considerations, bike fit. Ditto above. * The remount. * The ability to ride around on the side of the bike, on one pedal. * The dismount. * Picking up the bike. That might be it. Then practice, practice, practice. Slow at first, so you develop good habits. Pre-releasing is a good habit. So is not doing the double-step when remounting. Bring whatever bike you got. If you're gonna be trying CX on your Mtb then I'd recommend going w/ a little smaller tyre, not full-on CX small, as it will make your Mtb handle and feel way different, but smaller like 1.8 or so. Pathfinder has some, go check them out. Bring a helmet. Take off the water bottle cage on your down tube. Bring a beer if you feel the need to pay for something. :) Basic session, so if you're already doing the above stuff well don't feel you need to show up, but after this one we won't be going over the basics. If you're still doubling stepping on remount then I would encourage you to show up. So this Monday and/or Friday if enough folks feel the need. And there you have it. Gonna be another good season!
