Hello, After the next weekend (conf. champ.) unfortunately there is not so much left for MTB.....BUT There is a little series: MOM Month Of Mud held in Pittsburgh area http://monthofmud.org/ Two race are left: Oct 20th and Oct 27th The one on 20th is a cx race in MTB style..... so you'll find some single track, some strange features that usually are not part of a cx course, maybe fire road..... it's most like a short track course. The categories are like MTB so you'll find beginners, sport, expert. These races are so fun: they open to unicycle too!! other than mtb cx, and if you want to try road bikes.... I'm going for sure on 20th, if someone is interested let's talk on Wed, since I cannot make the meeting on16th!
Oct 27th is a super D race at Ohiopyle State Park, I've never race there, and I don't have a working mtb to try, but it's another very close race. Note: on 26th (Oct) there will be a cx race in town at Marilla, sure will talk at the next meetings, That race is organized by Gary Rodosta and Mark Glass. In the past, when we had cx collegiate race that was one of the race of the WVU weekend. We always help them, can be good for community hours. Who own MTB can race there too...., it's a fun race bc close to Halloween many dress up and race with funny costumes......
