Part of the problem here is the "CD' does not appear like it does in Ubuntu. In Ubuntu I can unmount it then run wvdial. I am wondering if I need to "mount" the "cd" then "unmount" it.
Again it appears twice in the Device Driver Utility as an "sd" CDROM node name: disk binding name: sd devfs path: /pci at 0,0/pci1025,15b at 1d,7/storage at 3/disk at 0,0 compatible name: (sd) driver name: sd instance: 1 driver state: Attached pm-components: NAME=spindle-motor pm-hardware-state: needs-suspend-resume ddi-failfast-supported: TRUE ddi-kernel-ioctl: TRUE fm-ereport-capable: TRUE removable-media: TRUE device-nblocks: e054 device-blksize: 800 inquiry-revision-id: 2.01 inquiry-product-id: CDROM inquiry-vendor-id: BandRich inquiry-device-type: 5 usb: TRUE compatible: sd lun: 0 pm-capable: 1 hotpluggable: TRUE target: 0 node name: disk binding name: sd devfs path: /pci at 0,0/pci1025,15b at 1d,7/storage at 3/disk at 0,0 compatible name: (sd) driver name: sd instance: 1 driver state: Attached pm-components: NAME=spindle-motor pm-hardware-state: needs-suspend-resume ddi-failfast-supported: TRUE ddi-kernel-ioctl: TRUE fm-ereport-capable: TRUE removable-media: TRUE device-nblocks: e054 device-blksize: 800 inquiry-revision-id: 2.01 inquiry-product-id: CDROM inquiry-vendor-id: BandRich inquiry-device-type: 5 usb: TRUE compatible: sd lun: 0 pm-capable: 1 hotpluggable: TRUE target: 0 dmesg: Sep 30 20:22:50 opensolaris genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] nsmb0 is /pseudo/nsmb at 0 Sep 30 20:22:50 opensolaris pseudo: [ID 129642 kern.info] pseudo-device: lx_systrace0 Sep 30 20:22:50 opensolaris genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] lx_systrace0 is /pseudo/lx_systrace at 0 Sep 30 20:22:50 opensolaris fuse: [ID 583164 kern.notice] NOTICE: Inside module_info Sep 30 20:22:50 opensolaris fuse: [ID 944846 kern.notice] NOTICE: Inside module_init Sep 30 20:22:50 opensolaris fuse: [ID 811355 kern.notice] NOTICE: fuse_dbg_msg fuse_init:127 Sep 30 20:22:50 opensolaris fuse: [ID 642280 kern.notice] NOTICE: Fuse File System Init invoked, fstype = 24 Sep 30 20:25:35 opensolaris scsi: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING: /pci at 0,0/pci1025,15b at 1d,7/storage at 2/disk at 0,0 (sd2): Sep 30 20:25:35 opensolaris Command failed to complete...Device is gone Sep 30 20:25:35 opensolaris genunix: [ID 408114 kern.info] /pci at 0,0/pci1025,15b at 1d,7/storage at 2/disk at 0,0 (sd2) offline Sep 30 20:25:35 opensolaris last message repeated 1 time Sep 30 20:25:35 opensolaris genunix: [ID 408114 kern.info] /pci at 0,0/pci1025,15b at 1d,7/storage at 2 (scsa2usb2) offline Sep 30 20:25:35 opensolaris pcplusmp: [ID 805372 kern.info] pcplusmp: ide (ata) instance 1 irq 0xf vector 0x43 ioapic 0x4 intin 0xf is bound to cpu 0 Sep 30 20:25:35 opensolaris unix: [ID 665567 kern.warning] WARNING: kstat_create('sdhost', 0, 'slot0'): namespace collision Sep 30 20:25:35 opensolaris sdhost: [ID 851180 kern.warning] WARNING: Failed to map registers!
