DISNEY: ANOTHER RACIST SNUB The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Oakland Raiders in the most recent Super Bowl by unleashing a ferocious defense. Dexter Jackson, an African American defensive back, made two of the Bucs' five interceptions against Raiders quarterback Rich Gannon. Jackson was picked as the "MVP"--most valuable player. Traditionally, Super Bowl MVPs do a television spot for the Walt Disney Corp. in which they are asked what they are going to do after winning the award. "Go to Disney World," is the usual reply. But Brad Johnson, the Bucs' white quarterback, was given that "honor" this year instead. This is not the first time the Disney bosses' racism has been on display after the most prestigious professional sports event. Disney also passed over former MVPs Ray Lewis and Jerry Rice--who many consider the best football player of all time--in favor of white quarterbacks. Along with Disney's appalling anti-union stance, racism is another good reason not to go to Disney World. --Monica Moorehead - END - (Copyright Workers World Service: Everyone is permitted to copy and distribute verbatim copies of this document, but changing it is not allowed.
