Web Developer's Guide to HTML5 (a.k.a. HTML5 Authoring Guidelines): > * http://dev.w3.org/html5/html-author/ As the team contact for the HTML WG, I just wanted to take a moment to clarify that the above document (written by Lachlan Hunt) it just one proposal as a start on an authoring guide. It's true that so far it's the only one, but there's no reason that things necessarily need to remain that way. Not everything in dev.w3.org/html5 space necessarily carries any kind of endorsement from the group. The reason that document came to be there is, Lachlan Hunt figured that along with continuing the discussion about what the use cases and requirements for an HTML5 authoring guide should be, it might be useful to take a shot at drafting something up so we'd also have at least one tangible proposal to evaluate. And I asked him to then go ahead and check it in so that we had it under version control in a place that provided for the possibility of collaborative editing of it. So while Lachlan's document may in fact be a great starting point to use as the basis for possible collaboration with others from the WCAG WG and AUWG WG, it is not the only possible starting point. That said, I think Lachlan's document has some merit and it might be good idea to try to use it as a starting point for collaboration if it seems like that would be worthwhile to those who want to get involved with work on authoring guidelines. --Mike -- Michael(tm) Smith http://people.w3.org/mike/ http://sideshowbarker.net/
