validator.nu claims CONTROL_CHARACTER in QUERY from cvsweb?

For no particular reason, I checked this page with validator.nu:

One of the diagnostics I got baffled me:

huh? The string "w3c_home$" doesn't occur in the source of the page.
Nor does "stWWW". What's going on here?
