About http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-xhtml2-20060726/ It is good to see markup like this in the specification, it will be certainly easier to define test assertions. <span class="must"></span> Create an XSLT to extract all these assertions and/or give the list of them in a separate file, it will be appreciated. In addition, if the WG adds "id" to the spans/div it will help to identify them in a testing framework. But good job on having the markup but unfortunately is not available in all sections. See for example the mail "Object element and archive attribute. Make clear definitions.".
