Title: Our Legislative Priorities This Year

Donate | Advocate | Volunteer

Dear Bruce,

We are excited that summer is right around the corner and that Pride season is here! As in the past, Equality California is participating in Pride events across the state and I am writing to ask you to march with us at Los Angeles Pride this Sunday, June 14th! Pride is a time to celebrate, and also to reflect on the progress we've made as a community since the first Stonewall riots occurred in 1969. This year is no exception.

With marriage equality in all 50 states just around the corner and the passage of over 100 pieces of LGBT civil rights legislation in California, we are very excited about all we've been able to accomplish and I want you to join with us in celebrating these historic achievements.

We're asking Equality California members like you to come out and march with us at Los Angeles Pride this Sunday, June 14th! We'll be meeting at the corner of Crescent Heights Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood around 10:30AM and the parade should last until 1PM.

By coming out and joining Equality California this Pride season, you can feel good about supporting our community and Equality California's important work to help combat bullying in our schools, LGBT youth homelessness and suicide, and to address the needs of LGBT people of color, seniors, immigrants, and members of the transgender community. Plus, you'll get a FREE Equality California t-shirt!

To sign-up to march with us, please e-mail our pride organizer, Justin Florez, at jus...@eqca.org. He'll give you additional details about when and where to meet us. And remember to invite your friends and family to join in the celebration!

Pride season is a special time where everyone in the LGBT community can be proud of who we are, as individuals and as a community. Pride season also allows Equality California to reconnect with our wonderful and dedicated supporters. That is why I'm asking you to join us at a Pride event this year.

Thanks for your continued support and dedication in helping us achieve full and lasting equality and acceptance for LGBT people.

In solidarity,

Rick Zbur
