Many countries have ZIP codes. On international mail you're supposed to prefix the ZIP code with the ISO country code and a hyphen. The international Postal Union regulates these things. See e.g. http://www.galaxy.com/galaxy/Reference/Postal-and-Zip-Codes.html So zip:// is much easier to standardize and use than address://. And it might actually work! Web-based postal delivery services will only be happy to see ZIP code support built into web software. -- Reinier
