I don't know what OS you use.
I have only Linux on my holidays here, and it hard to test like  this.
But you have the code, and the scroll is not that hard to follow.
Its a matter of blitting the right parts. But know matter what, it will be a 
bit slow, since it 
needs to copy RGB values into a wxBitmap in order to blit.
So better look into it yourself,
