Interesting, came from borland also. Waited long to use VC. Now i am pleased
with it.
But also started with CB for windows and linux.
Waited for the lattest version of CB, but on linux with two monitors as i have, it docks windows into the main window if its on the other monitor. Apart from that debugging was impossible slow and crashed often.

That last debug slow, was the same on kdevelop4, but i found that this was a bug in gdb in fact (ubuntu i use). After updating all, kdevelop4 was oke, and also the cmake project imported from wxart2d is better compared to CB.
But i will try CB again to see at least that debugging has improved there also.

Yes, trying to use CodeBlocks with mingw.

Just curious why? Don't like VC?
I tried codeblocks on linux, but to many problems still to use it.
Now use kdevelop 4, very nice and totally cmake oriented.
It looks like there are windows versions for it.

I've never been a big fan of VC. Borland/CodeGear/Embarcadero (C++ Builder) has always been my favorite, but I'm growing weary of it. I want to move to an open source solution and CodeBlocks with wxSmith gives me a RAD environment, which is one of C++ Builder's features that I love. I was also looking forward to having an IDE that worked well on both, Windows and Linux, but from what you're telling me, CodeBlocks may not be the best choice on Linux.

Thanks for pointing out KDevelop. I'll have to check it out.
