The job should be made easier with
http://haskell-unsafe.alioth.debian.org/archive/i386/unstable/w/wxhaskell/

There is already an rpmdist target in the makefile.  Having a debdist
target would be nice.

Also, the darcs darcs repository (as in the source code to darcs) has
some debian-related stuff in the makefile and in its release/
subdirectory.
