Folks, Just wanted to give you a heads-up that I shall soon be passing into a much more liberal and reactive style of darcs repo maintainence.
Before the idea was that I would systematically push in any patch that one of the other developers (Jeremy, shelarcy, etc) said was ok (or that I personally thought was the case). But the case is likely that we all have other responsabilities than wxhaskell. Thus patch review defaulted to me, who is not fully competent for the job. Since * My patch review probably isn't helping very much * I do not really have the time to do this seriously * It's just slowing down development more than anything else I propose a switch to a more liberal style of repository oversight: any patches submitted in good faith (i.e. that do not do anything obviously evil) will go in on the day I get them, without more than a cursory glance. If you have any objections -- you think patches should be reviewed more vigorously than that -- please volunteer for the job. Many thanks! -- Eric Kow http://www.loria.fr/~kow PGP Key ID: 08AC04F9 Merci de corriger mon français.
