I forgot to add * Thanks for all these patches! Sorry for the delays... and especially not telling you that delays would be expected. I'm only now very slowly starting to clear out my mailboxes and get things back under control.
* I suspect that it's still trying to build some stuff during make install (when it should just be duing make). That has the potential to be annoying as it creates files owned by root if you do sudo make install.
