Personally I have no opinion on Glade as I've never used it. When I say I like the idea of specifying a GUI with XML, the picture in my mind is something like XUL or HTML (hey, I'm a web developer). But these are much simpler than Glade XML. AFAIK you are not supposed to write Glade XML by hand.
