It runs fine, but you're right that the docs could be a little more clear. I'm not sure how you go between filling out the memory location and assembler. As for an example, it seems a little complicated. The examples should be something that people can easily dissect to learn how to do things. Ideally they should be interesting, but definitely have more wxLua GUI code than anything else and focus on a single control or groups of controls. I know that the wxluasudoku.wx.lua program doesn't follow this, but I wrote it simply to show off what wxLua can do rather than serve as an example. Having said that, the current grid sample is way too trivial to be useful to anyone so this could be a nice addition.
