Hi Jimmy,
            I think the reason for that old build is that the wxwidgets
library update happened just recently. Anyway the way I look at it is that
this is a binding to wxWidgets which I think is a good choice to begin
with. Also the community is quite active and you get help quickly from John
and others on the mailing list.
