Hi Mattia Thanks for your reply ... Sorry actually it was not a stupid question at all ... Hence I am now trying to compile Alien, however looks like it can only install in the directory structure of perl.
As I am not root is there any way to install the module in some other local directory ? I tried the option --prefix just for fun but as I expected it does not work. Thanks a lot, Kind regards, Jean-Philippe -----Original Message----- From: Mattia Barbon [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, March 05, 2008 12:20 AM To: Ulpiano Jean-Philippe (IFWL PD SM DM) Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: Problem installing perl on Solaris 8 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi, > Makefile out-of-date with respect to you_better_rebuild_me Cleaning > current config before rebuilding Makefile... > gmake -f Makefile.old clean > /dev/null 2>&1 /opt/perl_5.8.7/bin/perl > Makefile.PL > WARNING: LICENSE is not a known parameter. > Checking if your kit is complete... > Looks good > Warning: prerequisite Alien::wxWidgets 0.25 not found. > 'LICENSE' is not a known MakeMaker parameter name. Sorry for the stupid question, but... did you install Alien::wxWidgets and then re-run Makefile.PL? Regards, Mattia
