A version is maintained by the wxPython folks and seems to be regularly updated. So I have switched my PPM compile to that version - which has columns that resize. I made one change - I liked the way that the alternate version made the tree node labels span multiple columns so I put that implementation into the wxPython 'official' source. The final choice on whether this stays like this will be Mark Wardell's as it is his module. Working PPMs now in repository.
