I know theoretically anyone can install wxPerl from CPAN but I still wonder if you people could help me gather information on where - in your experience - wxPerl is available as a package. In Ubuntu 8.04 there is no wx: $ aptitude search wx | grep perl $ As I understand Debian has it. Does anyone know how to get the Ubuntu people to package wxPerl as well?
I think that once it is in Debian it will likely go inside Ubuntu (maybe just in the universe/multiverse repository).
What about Fedora, Red Hat and Mandriva just to mention the biggest distros? What about FreeBSD and Apple?
Fedora has wxPerl since at least FC8, OS X 10.4 has wxPerl 0.22, 10.5 has a more recent version (0.6x for some x, IIRC). I think wxPerl was
also available in Mandrake/Mandriva and Suse at some point, but I have no idea if it is still included. Regards, Mattia
