I'm not sure if we are the largest/most complicated wxPerl app out there or
not, but we must be up there...

We have about 150+ frames and dialogs, and another 150+ subclassed controls.
The controls are all self-aware enough to fetch and populate their own
data asynchronously via POE back to our server APIs. We support Windows, OS
X and Linux clients.

The application usually starts out around 40-50 meg of memory, grows to
about 60-70 meg during usage, but can also shrink as frames are closed - so
memory reclamation is working.

There are a handful of examples in:

http://search.cpan.org/src/MIKE/POE-Loop-Wx-0.04/example/

We also funded some work by Eriam Schaffter to create Wx::Data (although we
ended up not using the work ) You can see some more Wx and POE interaction
at

http://search.cpan.org/~eriam/Wx-Data-0.01_01/

Other resources for POE are available at http://poe.perl.org with some good
examples in the Cookbook section. Understanding POE on it's own before
trying to marry POE and Wx together is probably a good first step.

Feel free to ask questions about Wx and POE and Ed, Brad or myself will do
our best to answer your questions in a timely manner -- it was been a very
flexible framework for us.

Hope that helps.
