Dear wxPerl developers,

I've mostly been busy being ill, but in the little time I could spend on
debugging, I've found out that the same program (Padre) about which I
reported crashes earlier *only crashes if AUI elements are involved*.

What I did was retrofit my threading background task manager to an older
version of Padre which hadn't introduced AUI yet. The "Scalars leaked:
1" warning still appears, but the program doesn't terminate when I join
the second (or any other) worker thread.

A previous posting I found in the archive of the mailing list hinted at
AUI being a potential problem.

Is this a wxPerl or a wxwidgets issue? Any ideas on how I can get to the
bottom of this? I may not have much time nor expertise in things wx, but
I'm willing to (slowly) go to great lengths to fix this*.

Best regards,
Steffen
