I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can make my Mac lie and say it has 10.6 Snow Leopard instead of 10.5 Leopard, so I can install the new XCode update which comes, as I hear, with WxWidgets 2.8.0 in it.
I cannot afford to upgrade to Snow Leopard, and as another message in this list has said it comes with a 64-bit Perl which isn't compatible with wxPerl anyway (though in theory it should be easy enough to just rebuild Perl, way easier than trying to get a home-built Wx to supercede the one with XCode) But a 32-bit WxWidgets 2.8.0 is *exactly* what I need to be able to install... except the damned thing won't let me. -- Dodger
