they haven't been tested nearly enough to make a release of them, sorry. The activity in the relevant Padre branch has mostly been to make the early creation of a "master copy" of the worker threads possible at all. Various things broke and we are still picking up the pieces (specifically Andrew Bramble is doing a lot of work on this).
Trying to reduce the memory footprint further with Wx::Threading is only the next step.
