Hello Mandana, David, thank you very much for your help. Generating a second ssh-key without passphrase and logging in to the remote machine with ssh-agent forwarding disabled did indeed solve the problem. That is great. I don't know if this is possible to implement but it might be convenient to also be able to use ssh-agent forwarding for logging in to the "compute" node. Personally I do not like the idea of an ssh-key without passphrase too much. Best regards, Manfred
