Hi all, as far as I can determine, X10 currently has no mechanism for executing external (shell) commands. We have a need for something of this kind, similar to e.g. java.lang.Runtime.exec(...) or popen(...) in C+.
Has there been any thought given to such a feature in X10? Would a native implementation that calls through to exec / popen suffice?
