Hi all, section 13.3.3 of the language specification states
"In most cases, async at(p) S is preferred to at(p) async S, since the former returns instantly, but the latter blocks waiting for the remote activity to be spawned." Is this correct? It is my understanding that, where p can be evaluated statically, "at(p) async" is preferred as it will be translated into a single asynchronous message to the remote place, whereas "async at(p)" will create an activity at the current place which then changes places.
