I am observing odd behaviour from the XQuartz Window Menu in the following circumstances, on a MacBook or an iMac with just the built-in screen under El Capitan and Yosemite (respectively) and with XQuartz 2.7.8. I am using a mixture of Terminal and X applications. I have Terminal and XQuartz set up to run on different desktops. I have some X applications already running in XQuartz and then, from Terminal, I invoke an X application, e.g., xclock. As expected the display switches to the XQuartz desktop and I can see the application I’ve just started. Then, because I actually want to look at another X application first, I try to bring up the XQuartz Window Menu, but as soon as I click on the label, the display switches back to the Terminal desktop. This is intermittent, but happens more often than not. It sometimes happens even after I’ve been working with the X applications for some time.
Any advice on how to work around this little glitch would be appreciated. Regards, Rob. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
