Hi Folks,
I have xquartz 2.7.8 installed on El Capitain. At some point I wa not longer able to open an X11 window. I'm not certain what event cause this to happen. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling according to instruction on https://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/X11-UsersFAQ. But to no avail. Although I did get the suspicious message:

launchctl unload /Library/LaunchAgents/org.macosforge.xquartz.startx.plist
/Library/LaunchAgents/org.macosforge.xquartz.startx.plist: Could not find specified service

    I created a new user and installed xquartz and it works fine.

    My log file looks like this:

X11.app: DISPLAY does not look like a launchd set variable, unsetting.
X11.app: main(): argc=1
argv[0] = /Applications/Utilities/XQuartz.app/Contents/MacOS/X11.bin
Waiting for startup parameters via Mach IPC.
X11.app: No launchd socket handed off, unsetting DISPLAY

        argv[0] = /opt/X11/bin/X
        argv[1] = :0
        argv[2] = -nolisten
        argv[3] = tcp
        argv[4] = -auth
        argv[5] = /Users/Andrew/.serverauth.1000

If anyone could help me solve this I would greatly appreciate it.
