x11 users:
I'm new to the list and not sure if this is the right way to ask for
help, but here goes:
I just upgraded to MacOS 12.2 Sierra from 10.6.8 and installed XQuartz
2.7.11. I am trying to run ANSYS (a structural analysis program) with
X11 GUI from a remote client. Everything works great except the main
pull down menu in the ANSYS GUI runs like molasses. Strange because 3D
graphics rendering and dynamic rotation algorithms are faster then
ever. The remote client is running SUSE Linux. The menus were
instantaneous when using the Mac-resident X11 in OSX 10.6.8.
Any suggestions to remedy this? It makes running this program almost
unbearable!
