Hi I am running MacOS 10.12.3 and XQuartz 2.7.11 on my MacBook Pro late 2013 and on my Mac Pro late 2013.
In February I was running XQuartz 2.7.5 on both systems and successfully ssh’d to remote systems and displayed X applications back to my systems. This past week I attempted to access remote systems but the DISPLAY variable was not getting set properly. This was true for both of my systems. I saw that XQuartz 2.7.11 was available (even though the 2.7.5 ‘check for updates’ said there was not a newer version available???) I downloaded XQuartz 2.7.11 onto both systems and rebooted. I was able to operate remote applications from the Mac Pro successfully. When I attempt to start XQuartz 2.7.11 on my MacBook Pro I get this message: “XQuartz cannot be opened because of a problem” It tells me to update the OS and the application. I have reinstalled XQuartz 3 times, rebooted each time, and gotten the same message when starting XQuartz each time. Suggestions? Thank you, Charles Shelor _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
