FWIW, the patch Jeremy posted at https://lists.macosforge.org/pipermail/xquartz-dev/2017-July/004026.html fixed focus-loss problems completely for me on Sierra. I haven't yet updated my everyday laptop to High Sierra, so I can't entirely say that it also fixes every such case on High Sierra, but I'm optimistic. I'm surprised that Jeremy hasn't yet put up a build containing that patch for download. You can build XQuartz yourself with the patch (I did) but it's a real pain if you've not done it before, cf https://lists.macosforge.org/pipermail/xquartz-dev/2017-July/004028.html regards, tom lane _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
