Hi, Like others I often run into failures when starting applications with DISPLAY pointing to a remote host, with messages like "failed to initialise GLX".
On Linux this sort of situation is typically handled by falling back to a software rasteriser that's part of Mesa (Gallium's swrast driver). I figured out how to build the MacPorts port:mesa with EGL support and optionally with the "accelerated" llvmpipe rasteriser: https://trac.macports.org/ticket/54236#comment:2 Indeed, when I now start one of my Qt5/X11 applications that would normally fail and set QT_XCB_GL_INTEGRATION=xcb_egl it will run normally (Qt Creator is a good example).
