Hi, After yesterday's question I thought I'd give installing xorg-server (the -devel version) next to XQuartz a try because I have this intermittent problem with the X pasteboard that stops working. So I built xorg-server-devel, with dri2 and dri3 enabled to see if that improves behaviour in remote apps expecting to be able to do compositing.
I'm having two glitches: a crash on exit when freeing a non-allocated pointer in GL-related code (glxscreens.c:440) and more annoyingly, I can no longer connect from my remote Linux rig. Checking or unchecking the boxes in the Preferences/Security tab makes no difference here. In fact, I cannot even connect locally when I give a fully specified display variable (DISPLAY=foo.local:0.0). The operation just hangs. I made certain that /etc/ssh*_config and /opt/local/etc/ssh/ssh*_config contain the same X11-related settings. Any ideas? Disclaimer: I did tweak the ports a little bit, so the MacPorts X11.app uses fonts already installed through XQuartz (via symlinks); I also updated the xorg-server version to the latest that can be built with the release xorg-randrproto headers (1.5.0). Thanks, R. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
