Ahem, of course you can, xorg-server ("X11.app") is nothing but a newer version
of XQuartz, and XQuartz was built independently from (or to be independent of
MacPorts). But you'd have to build everything manually and figure out for each
of the numerous dependencies if there is a system version that is recent
enough. Not worth the hassle, IMHO.
