TBH, I would be perfectly happy if that BadAccess could be made non-fatal, and 
willing to patch GTk if that's required(and feasible) to prevent an actual 
crash.

Applications running remotely shouldn't expect a D-Bus. D-Bus *can* run 
remotely but apparently that's such a niche feature that the devs formerly 
advise against it because of security risks.
